The Gap

Most brands don't have a footage problem.

They have a decision problem.

More cameras won't fix it. What's missing is someone deciding what the story is, who it's for, and why a stranger stops scrolling in the first three seconds.

Get that right and the shoot is just execution. I make the call with you before anyone picks up a camera, then shoot it, cut it, and hand it over ready to post.

Who You're Hiring

Behind the camera
since day one.

I didn't learn this from a course. I learned it on set.

Since then the work has run through commercial campaigns, music videos, live events, expo floors, choreography films and founder interviews. The budgets swing wildly between them. The craft doesn't.

That range is why I can walk onto an unfamiliar set and know what it needs on the day, and why I'd rather stay small and actually be there than scale into an agency and stop showing up.

How It Works

Four steps. No mystery.

From first call to delivered folder, usually three to five weeks.

01

Creative Strategy Call

Forty five minutes, free. We pull the brief out of your head, audience, offer, the thing you keep failing to explain. You leave with a direction whether you hire me or not.

02

Treatment & Preproduction

Concept, shot list, casting, locations, props, permits, schedule. You approve one document, everything after it is execution, not guesswork.

03

The Shoot

Built so one day yields a month of content, the hero piece plus every cutdown that comes off the same setup. Directed and shot by me, not subcontracted out.

04

Post & Handoff

Edit, sound, colour, captions and every ratio your platforms need, delivered organised and ready to post.

The offer

Two ways to work.
One outcome.

If you want to see it first

Proof Shoot $2,000

One shoot day. Five finished vertical videos. Delivered in ten days. Full usage rights. If you continue, the full $2,000 credits toward your first month. Most people skip this and just book the call.

The 90 day signature build

I build the format that works for your brand, then shoot it, cut it and hand it over ready to post. Every month.

Week 1
Strategy call. I learn the business and the audience, and we book your first shoot date.
Week 2
Playbook approved. Concepts, hooks and scripts locked before anyone picks up a camera.
Week 3
We shoot. Crew, locations, permits and gear all handled on my side.
Month 1
Your first round of videos is live.
Every month after
One shoot day from you. We read the analytics together and aim the next batch at whatever just worked.
  • Creative strategy call. You tell me the business, the audience, and the thing you keep failing to explain. I listen.
  • The playbook build. I research your market and find the format that will actually win for you. Concepts, hooks and scripts, written before anyone picks up a camera.
  • The shoot. Casting, locations, props, permits, crew and every piece of gear, hired and run by me. Some months that is one bigger campaign piece. Others it is a focused short form day built to bank a batch. We decide which the month calls for, you just show up.
  • The edit. Sound, colour, captions and every ratio your platforms need. Nothing leaves here that I have not watched myself.
  • Delivery. Content arrives in batches, organised and ready to post.
  • Then we watch it work. Once it is live I stay in it. Every month we go through the analytics together, find what earned attention and what did not, and aim the next batch at the answer. The format gets sharper the longer we run it.
  • All of it is yours. The full catalog, repostable for years. The format playbook. Full usage rights across organic, paid and web.

Your time commitment is one shoot day a month. Everything else is mine.
First video live within 14 days.

Scope is set on the call. The right volume depends on your product, your audience and how fast you want to move, so I would rather build it around you than sell you a number.

90 day minimum, billed monthly Book a Strategy Call

Talent, locations, permits, props and specialty gear are scoped and billed separately. Paid media spend not included.

Nobody honest can promise you a viral video. So I will not.
But I will promise to beat your own best.

Within 90 days of your first shoot, I will produce a video that outperforms your best performing post of the last 12 months. If I do not, I keep shooting at no additional cost until I do.

What it takes to hold me to it
  • We agree your baseline number in writing before the first shoot.
  • You show up to your shoot days.
  • You post on the schedule we set.
  • The free extension runs up to 60 additional days.
What you own

You keep all of it.

01

The full content catalog, yours to repost for years.

02

The format playbook: the concept, hooks, shot list and edit specs that make it work.

03

Why Me

No handoffs.
Nothing lost in translation.

01

A real person on every frame

Plenty of agencies quietly farm edits out to outside shops and forward whatever comes back without watching it. I don't work that way. If it leaves here, I've watched it, and if it isn't good enough, it doesn't go out.

02

Your creative partner, not a camera for hire

I'm thinking about what this actually has to do, reach, brand building, applications, sales, and building the shoot and the edit backwards from that outcome. You can also just hand me a locked script and I'll execute it cleanly. Both work.

03

A team when the job needs one

When a project needs more hands, or bigger ones, I bring in shooters, directors and editors from a network I've built and worked beside for years. You still get one point of contact and one person accountable for the result.

Nick-David Atkinson with his production crew
Not Always Solo

When a job needs
more than me.

I work with a team. On bigger productions I bring in shooters, directors and editors I’ve known and worked alongside for years, not freelancers found the week of the shoot. You still deal with me, and I’m still the one accountable for what lands in your folder.

Why It's Worth It

What you're
actually buying.

The Outcome

Work people stop for

Not a folder of pretty clips. Content built backwards from whatever you actually need it to do, brand recognition, product sales, booked calls, applications, or simply being taken seriously in your space.

The Evidence

2B+ views produced

Eight years of it, broken down card by card in the receipts above. Every number with a public post attached is linked so you can check it yourself.

Speed

Built around your timeline

Fast turnaround is what I specialise in. Some edits genuinely take longer, I won't cut corners on the work to hit an arbitrary date, but tell me when you need it and we build the schedule around that. Shoot and handoff jobs: raw footage in your hands the next day.

Your Effort

As much or as little as you need

Some jobs I run end to end, concept, casting, locations, props, permits, crew, edit and delivery. On others you already have the plan and just want me to show up and shoot. We scope it on the call.

Is This A Fit?

Let's be straight
about it.

Who I work with
  • Founders and business owners who are excellent at what they do and invisible online
  • Creators and personal brands ready to treat content as a system, not a hobby
  • Brands with a real product, CPG, tech, beauty, hospitality
  • People who want a director with an opinion, or a clean pair of hands for a script they’ve already locked. Both are fine.
  • Single shoot days. Not every job needs a full build, sometimes you just need someone good to show up and shoot it.
Who I’m not for
  • Anyone hiring on price alone, I’m not the cheapest quote and won’t pretend to be
  • Anyone who wants to learn to do this themselves. That is what the coaching site is for, and I will send you there.
  • Anyone expecting a guarantee that something goes viral. Nobody honest sells that.
  • Anyone whose product or service isn’t legitimate, or whose content exists to push hate, negativity or substances. Narrative and character work is judged on its own merits, but I reserve the right to pass on a brief that isn’t right for me.

Not sure which column you're in? Book the call anyway, I'll tell you straight, and you'll still leave with a direction.

Nick-David Atkinson on location
Who You Deal With

One person
start to finish.

Whoever you meet on the call is who directs the shoot and signs off the final cut. Bigger jobs bring in my crew, but you’re never handed off to an account manager, and nothing reaches you that I haven’t watched myself.

Before You Book

The questions
I get asked most.

What do you shoot on?
My main camera is a Blackmagic 6K, and I have Canon and Sony bodies available too. I've worked across most brands over the years, and if a job calls for something higher end, I'll rent it in and scope it into the budget. The gear follows the brief, not the other way round.
What do you edit on?
Primarily Adobe Premiere. I'm also comfortable in DaVinci Resolve Studio and CapCut, so if your team already lives in one of those, passing projects back and forth isn't a problem.
Where are you based, and will you travel?
I'm based in Los Angeles, California, and I travel for the right project. Travel and accommodation simply get scoped into the budget up front so there's nothing awkward later.
Do you guarantee results?
Within 90 days of your first shoot, I will produce a video that outperforms your best performing post of the last 12 months. If I do not, I keep shooting at no additional cost until I do. We agree your baseline number in writing before the first shoot, you show up to your shoot days, and you post on the schedule we set. The free extension runs up to 60 additional days.
How much do you charge?
It depends on the scope, and I'd rather quote you honestly than throw a number out before I understand the job. A doctor doesn't diagnose before seeing the patient. Tell me what you need on the call and I'll build the offer around it.
Have you worked with my kind of brand before?
Most likely. Eight years working in California has covered personal brands, business and tech, beauty, narrative, action, comedy, product placement and commercial work. I'm comfortable across genres, and if something genuinely isn't in my wheelhouse, I'll say so on the first call rather than learn on your budget.
Can you work with my existing team?
Absolutely. I've worked alongside graphic designers, editors, strategists, producers, directors, founders and assistants. Slotting into a system you already have is normal for me, not a special request.
Do you outsource the work?
When a project needs more hands, or bigger ones, I bring in shooters, directors and editors from a network I've built and worked beside for years. What I don't do is hand your footage to an anonymous overseas edit farm and forward back whatever lands. Every frame that leaves here has been through me.
How fast can I get it back?
Fast turnaround is what I specialise in, and we build the schedule around your date. Some edits genuinely take longer and I won't cut corners on the work to hit an arbitrary deadline, but if it's a shoot and handoff job where you just need the raw footage, you'll have it the next day.

Let's find the story
before we shoot it.

Start with a Proof Day. It is the fastest way to see how this works before committing to anything longer. If you would rather talk it through first, book a free strategy call and we will map what a production day should actually produce for you.
